Tennis Clinics

During the tennis season, we will hold several tennis clinics for those who would like to try tennis as a sport, or for those who are already involved with our Academy and who would like to improve their tennis skills.

Our tennis clinics are packed with 'fun & games' with more than enough technical as well as tactical development.

We try to make our clinics as enjoyable as possible for everyone who wants to be a part of it. We have many activities geared towards conveying tennis as easily as possible to our clinic goers.

Our tennis clinics will be held over two days and there will be regular advertisements on our Facebook page as well as on our website.

Please Note: Our tennis clinics will be held at the new Primary School and are open to all primary school children from Gr. R to 7.

Tennis Tournaments

The date for our Parent & Child Doubles Tournament for the 2025 will be confirmed at a later date on our Facebook Page and our website.

• Parent & Child Doubles Tournament
  • 16 Parent & Child doubles pairs compete in a Main Competition & Plate Competition.
  • The winning pair in the Main Competition receive the Championship Trophy as well as a gold medal each, while the 2nd & 3rd place finishers receive silver & bronze medals each.
  • The winning pair in the Plate Competition receive a gold medal each, with the 2nd & 3rd place finishers also receiving a silver & bronze medal.

  • Our first parent & child doubles tournament was held in 2018, with this year's tournament marking the seventh!

  • What makes our tournaments unique is that there aren't many tennis tournaments in the Cape Province where parents can participate with their children, while enjoying a few hours of tennis with their children in a fun and non-competitive way.

• Race to November Singles Tournaments
  • Our Race to November Tournaments will be available to ALL the pupils that form part of our Academy.
  • This is an in-house tournament that is geared towards giving each of our pupils that has the desire to play competitive tennis, an opportunity to compete against other pupils within the same category as themselves.
  • Each pupil of ours will be evaluated beforehand to determine their competency level, where they will receive a specific rating, which will be directly linked to their skill and ability level.
  • They will then either compete in a red-dot, orange-dot or green-dot tournament according to their rating to ensure that they enter the correct tournament.
  • The competency evaluation will take place at the end of each term to make sure that each pupil move to a higher rating when they have mastered all aspects of their current competency level.
  • To make sure that we finish in time for the Club League to begin, each tournament will start as early as 08:00 and finish no later than 12:00.
  • The tournaments will be held on Saturdays at Kuils River Tennis Club, depending on the availability of the tennis courts.
  • There will be three tournaments during the 1st term and three during the 4th term.
  • The final and sixth tournament will be held in November after the exams where the top eight pupils of each category (red-dot, orange-dot and green-dot tournament) will compete against each other in a semi-finals and finals tournament to determine the Bronze, Silver and Gold medalist of each category.
  • More details on exactly how the points system work will be sent to each parent individually as soon as possible.
